Things to consider when choosing a rental car company

There are so many car rental companies out there that it can be hard and stressful to choose the best one. Companies that rent cars have different services, prices, and cars.

We specialize in reliable, low-cost cars. Our range of cars includes small, cheap cars that are great for getting around the city, touring cars that are good for both the city and the open road, station wagons for people with extra luggage, SUVs for people who need more space and power, and people movers and minibuses for people traveling with a large group. The people who work at the Best Car Rental Houston are the nicest, and their prices are very low (they may be the cheapest in town!).

Here are the things to consider when choosing a rental car company:

Compare prices –

The difference in daily rates will depend on how long you rent for, what day of the week it is, and what time of year it is.

New = Expensive –

Companies that sell brand-new cars usually charge more than other companies. Depending on what you need, a not-so-new car can sometimes do the same job for half the price.

Size Matters –

Check to see if renting a Car in Houston can meet your needs. Not good if you can't fit all of your luggage.

Insurance is always a good idea –

Most companies' regular rates include standard insurance, and the excess can range from $500 to $5,000. You can cut that excess down to a small part of that price for an extra fee.

How far are you going? –

When you rent a car from some companies, you can choose between two different rates. One gives you unlimited miles, so you can go wherever you want without worrying about extra costs, while the other makes you pay for the miles you drive. Most of the time, the daily rates for paying for extra miles will be much cheaper than the unlimited option.

Additional drivers –

Some rental car companies might charge for extra drivers, while others might not.

Filling the tank –

Usually, rental car companies will give you a car with a full tank of gas, and you are expected to return the car with a full tank. Some car rental companies will charge you a fee and the cost of fuel if you don't return the car full.

Extra bits –

Most car rental companies offer child seats, booster seats, gsp units, roof racks, snow chains, etc. for an extra fee. Some car rental companies may offer a package deal that includes a discount on a number of extras.

Roadside Assistance –

Some companies offer roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Most of the time, there is no extra charge for a call out when something is wrong with the machine. A small fee may be charged for things like a dead battery or flat tires.

Smoking not allowed –

Most places that rent cars don't let you smoke in them. If you do this, the car rental company will charge you a cleaning fee.

To sum up, make sure you always read the rental agreement, and if you don't understand something, you should ask the car rental company to explain it to you.
