Do I need my own insurance to rent with Horizon Rental Cars?No, we have insurance that will give you the peace of mind when renting one of our vehicles. However, if you choose to use your own insurance, it will be reported to your insurance carrier, keep in mind that it may affect your driving record and may increase your current insurance premiums. Can other people drive the car I booked?Yes, other individuals can drive the car as long as they are added as an additional driver. Spouses of the primary driver can drive the car rental for no charge, however for others the fee is $15/day.

What is your cancellation policy?As long as you cancel 24 hours in advance, there will be no charge. If you cancel within the 24 hour time frame of your reservation, your fee is 50% of the total reservation. Please give us a call at 832-376-5153 if you have any further cancellation questions.

What are the cleaning policies for the car rental?We do offer a post cleaning option if you feel the car may get dirty after your trip.

What happens if I get into an accident in the car rental?If you have an emergency, your safety is most important. Call 911 or the local authorities to file a police report of the incident. Our insurance will cover the accident if you choose to take out our standard or premium insurance add-on.

Can I get the car delivered to me?Yes, we deliver up to 15 miles of our branch location (6427 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007) and to both airports Bush Intercontinental Airport and William Hobby Airport. Our fee for delivery is $60 and our pickup fee is $60, if you need both delivery and pick up; your fee will be $120.

What current vehicle types are available for booking?We have a variety of vehicles for your needs. We have economy cars (compact, mid-size and full-size cars), vans, pick-up trucks, SUV's, luxury cars and Polaris Slingshots.

How much is the security deposit for a car rental?Security deposits are taken at the time you reserve your rental car. If you choose to pay with a credit card, the deposit is $300 or with a debit card, the deposit is $500. The deposit is fully refundable at the end of your rental as long as you have no incidentals (ie: parking tickets, toll violations or damage to the vehicle). If you have any toll violations, parking tickets or additional damage to the vehicle, those fees will be deducted from your security deposit balance and the difference will be refunded.
